I hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. The year 2009 is in the history books. This year Christmas was somewhat different from previous years. Unlike years past, I was able to spend time with my family and hometown friends during the holidays. I am very thankful for that. I had to approach Christmas day like another day at the office. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Christmas than playing the game I love and spending time with the ones I love. Some may think that it is a bummer to give up your holiday to play a basketball game. That is not the case. Only those teams that are considered the “elite” teams get this honor. The mental preparation definitely increases, because there is so much emotion and excitement in the air. Although we didn’t finish the game (vs. Boston Celtics) like we wanted, the greater gift was being able to celebrate the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ in a very special way.
As I move forward into 2010 and I prepare for the games and season ahead, I remind myself of my goals and vision. We all know that I love to read. I recently came across a message that I would like to share with you as you journey through 2010. “Vision without action is daydreaming, while action without vision is a nightmare. If you create a vision and follow through, it becomes a reality.” I have a vision for 2010. I hope after reading my blog you ask yourself …What is my vision for 2010?
The only thing stopping you is YOU!
I wish you all a safe and prosperous New Year.
Here we come, 2010!
