The Vince Carter Sanctuary
Posted: March 6th, 2009

In 2007, Vince and his mother, Michelle Carter-Scott, donated $1.6 million to the Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation for a new 100-bed substance abuse treatment facility in Flagler County, Florida. The facility is called “Vince Carter Sanctuary” and includes a multipurpose building named in honor of Michelle Carter-Scott.

Mrs. Carter-Scott said, “We all have family that go through tough times ... If there’s something we can do to help them get their lives back on track, that would be wonderful.”
