VOTE VINCE INTO THE 2010 NBA ALL-STAR GAME!

As stated by Coach Stan Van Gundy, “"Winning is valued in this league. When you are part of a winner, people look at you differently and look at you in a more positive light. Whether it's all star-stuff or contract time or whatever." In this situation one of the players Coach Van Gundy is referring to is the hometown superstar, Vince Carter. As an eight-time NBA all star throughout his illustrious career, Vince’s last all star appearance was in 2007 while a member of the New Jersey Nets. Having joined the Magic we are witnessing the rebirth of the jaw dropping, always entertaining, VC 15 we have admired for so many years.

Following 20 + games in this 2009-10 season, Vince has maintained averages of: 20.1-PPG, 4.90-RPG, and 2.8-APG. Posting these individual statistics coupled with the conference leading 17-5 record and 10-3 road record, it’s apparent that Vince Carter and the Orlando Magic are in the minds of all star voters. The first of many all star announcements was released on Thursday (12/10/09) and Vince was ranked second among Eastern Conference Guards with 292,002 votes. Vince joins teammate Dwight Howard as a leading vote getter making the Magic the only team with two players who would be projected starters at their respective positions.

After a recent conversation, Vince mentioned the honor of receiving votes and his humble yet thankful disbelief. I must add that it’s great seeing Vince once again, receiving the acknowledgements for being the great player he is.
